Who We Are
Phoebe Jewitt is an award-winning choreographer and Artistic Director of PITT, a project-based contemporary dance company based in Aarau, Switzerland.
Founded in 2022, PITT develops and presents Phoebe’s work nationally and internationally, working with artists and performers from different disciplines and backgrounds. The company is committed to creating ambitious contemporary dance that is open, engaging and connected to its audiences.
Artistic Approach
Drawing on the raw idiosyncrasies of human nature, Phoebe Jewitt’s choreography explores the tension between our primal instincts and socially constructed behaviours. Her productions weave together movement, poetry, and sound design to build immersive worlds — spaces where performers and audiences alike can lose and find themselves in fleeting moments of shared experience.
