Phoebe is a choreographer, dancer, and artistic director of PITT Company. Born in Derbyshire, U.K., she grew up in Southeast Asia and Switzerland. She completed the Swiss Matura while training at Zürich Opera House Ballet School. In 2017, her research on contemporary choreography won the Matura Prize.

Phoebe holds a BA in Contemporary Dance from Zürich University of the Arts where she performed at international Festivals such as the 2018 Context Festival in Moscow and the 2019 Gala Dance Meeting in Italy. She won the Migros Kulturprozent Dance Competitions in 2018 and 2019 with two solo creations.
In 2019, Phoebe joined TanzLuzern, where she danced for six seasons, working with a range of international choreographers such as Inbal Pinto, Andrea Miller, Caroline Finn, Mthuthuzeli November, Kor’sia and Ella Rothschild, to name a few.
In June 2021, she premiered her short work For Old Times’ Sake at Luzern Theatre, which also won the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition and received additional production awards; the B.OOM Festival Award and and the Teatro Biblioteca Quarticciolo.

In 2022, Phoebe founded PITT, a project-based company through which she has expanded her choreographic repertoire. Her worksTrilogy and Inver have since been presented across Switzerland and internationally at festivals including Südpol Luzern, B.OOM Festival Taipei, Teatro Palladium Rome, DAP Festival Pietrasanta and Phönix Theater Steckborn.
Phoebe currently directs her company and works as a freelance choreographer. Early projects include Rite of Spring for Tanzhaus Zürich’s choreographic platform Brückerei (2022), Mole for TanzLuzern (2022), and Meet The Evergreens for DAF Dance Arts Faculty in Rome (2023). In 2024, she created Siren Song for Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Foreigner for DAF Dance Arts Faculty, and launched her research-based project Greta Oto, funded by Aargauer Kuratorium. She served as choreographer for Luzern Theater’s opera Il Giustino and was a VERVE research commission artist during the 2023/24 season. In 2025, Phoebe was selected as an artist for 7×7 by Tanzhaus Basel and Moving in Collaboration by LUAIL.

Recent commissions include White Rabbit for TanzLuzern (2025), as well as Don’t Worry Baby for Ballet Arabesque (2026).
As part of research funding from Migros Kulturprozent and Aargauer Kuratorium, Phoebe was awarded a residency at Kurtheater Baden / Residenzzentrum Tanz+ for the research and development of a new work with PITT, titled “I Am, Wir Sind”.
Upcoming works in 2026/2027 include Sugar, a new creation for Of Curious Nature, Ritual For Disappearing Things, a new creation for BalletX, der Schimmelreiter, a full-evening creation for Tanzkompanie Rostock, True Crime | new creation for Tanztheater Mönchengladbach-Krefeld, and Shape-shifter | new creation for Kennesaw Sate University.
Phoebe’s choreographic approach is informed by cognitive and social psychology, exploring the complexities of human nature and sociological patterns. She weaves together poetry, soundscapes, and theatrical elements to expand her artistic language.
In addition to creating and performing, Phoebe guest teaches at professional dance programs in Switzerland and internationally. Her teaching emphasizes flow, musicality, and body awareness, aiming to foster an open, research-friendly environment that encourages exploration and dynamic movement.
