PITT is a project-based contemporary dance company, founded and directed by award-winning choreographer Phoebe Jewitt. The company is based in Switzerland, working within Switzerland and touring nationally and internationally.

A word from Phoebe:
I’m so intrigued by how we function as human beings: each individual carries a unique story, one that will constantly remain in movement, fluctuating through an array of emotional, mental and physical states. Attracted to our uniqueness, my approach to choreography aims to draw on the idiosyncrasies of human nature, addressing topics linked to our social system and the world that surrounds us. I’m inspired by the juxtaposition of our animalistic origins and socially adapted behaviour, which lies at the core of my movement language. Through combining my movement language with poetry and sound design, my goal is to create a unique universe for each production: a world in which the performers and audience can temporarily submerse themselves.
