Phoebe’s movement style and approach to choreography stem from an interest in cognitive and social psychology. Intrigued by how we function as human beings, she aims to draw on the idiosyncrasies of human nature to connect with the audience and address social, cognitive and psychological states. Alongside creating soundscapes, Phoebe is also writes poetry and is interested in surrealist and realist art, which have become part of her choreographic work.
Alongside creating and performing, Phoebe guest teaches at professional programmes within Switzerland and internationally. In teaching she aims to create a constant flow and dynamic atmosphere in the room, connecting to movement through musicality. By emphasising differences in dynamics, speed and movement origin she hopes to promote body awareness and an open research-friendly environment.
